Likes: My name is John. I love researching and learning about the socio-religious practices of the so-called "primitive" cultures. I am a shamanic practitioner and hoodoo spellworker. Among the things I do is create one-of-a-kind art pieces and ritual items, as well as Native American powow regalia. I enjoy herbal remedies and spells and working with the spirits. Other loves of mine are my family, sex, good food and drink and therianthropy.
Dislikes: I'm a fun guy, but I prefer to discuss our faith in a serious manner. No disrespect to the more flamboyant Renn Faire/Lord of the Rings-ish folks. I enjoy both. Just not my way when it comes to my personal spellwork and prayer. I think the deities and spirits deserve a little more respect than they are shown by a lot of people.

I have recently started a Pagan blog (see links) after spending a decade working as a journalist. It is rather bold in the opinions expressed, so it will not appeal to everyone. However, I am honest in my approach. I've had many roles in my professional life so far - editor/reporter, corporate manager, tattooist, radio news personality, greenhouse laborer, busboy/dishwasher, lumberyard worker, artist, florist, coffin salesman, children's photographer, really too many to list.
Being part Finn, I get itchy feet and like to move around and try new things. I have moved 18 times in the last 20 years and lived in 5 states (so far) .
My blog focuses on a range of topics from herbs to spellwork to my ramblings about whatever is on my mind. My Etsy store, where anyone wanting to purchase some of my products can do so, is now open.
