Gaelic Heathen, focused on the ways of the Hebrides and Highlands. I follow a warrior path and am very focused on the exploration of Outlaw warrior bands (ie: Fianna) and the War Goddesses of Gaelic and Northern cultures. By "Gaelic Heathen" we are syncretic Gaelic-Norse Reconstructionists, although my own path is more Gaelic and my husband's more Norse.
My mate and I share our lives with two Border Collie mixes, two of a long line of Greyhounds, four horses, a goat and a cat...and a bunch of chickens. We live in the boonies, in Northern NH, and are developing a homestead, raising chickens, growing food. What we don't raise we try to get locally (well, except for my fair trade chocolate and coffee!) . We're working towards a more sustainable life.
I had spent a number of years trying to work within a broader focus on the Gaelic path, but burned out from it. So I'm now more focused than ever on developing the warrior path, especially as it pertains to women and others who would be consider "other" on the path, and physical feminism. Our practice is focused on the Outlaw Warrior, such as the Fianna, rather than the mainstream society of the cultures.
I will consider taking students on the warrior path, however, a background in Gaelic culture through Celtic Reconstructionist methodology is a prerequisite.
