Michael Dolan's Profile...
I describe myself as a non-denominational pagan with a strong leaning towards the Celtic-influenced traditions. I'm more interested in the fundamental underlying principles of man, myth, and magick than in the superficial application of a specific path.
I have a ULC ordination, 10 nieces and nephews, a house in the burbs, a recording studio in the basement, wood shop in the garage, a whole big pile of camping and fishing gear that doesn't get used as often as I'd like, and a lovely wife with immeasurable patience.
When asked what I "do", I tell people I make things.
I make art from sound, art from words, art from paper, paint, wood, fabric or whatever other materials I find available to me.
I make observations on the world around us, and generally follow up by making an assessment, making a witty comment, or making a complete ass of myself in an attempt to do the latter.
I make magic and make Magick.
I try to make a difference, even a little one.
I make a killer 4-alarm chili, and some of the best biscuits and sausage gravy in New England. This is kind of like the best seafood in Arizona, but sometimes you take what you can get.
I sometimes make people happy, occasionally make them angry, and on a really good day, make them understand.
I occasionally make a big freakin' mess- usually in my kitchen.
