I've been Pagan since 1985. I am an artist, musician and writer who keeps a day job in medical billing to pay the rent and bills. I love to play hand drums and flutes and participate in Houston's Pagan Pride Day event every year. I also spin poi for fun and have been known to do a little acting on occasion. I have a home business selling my art
My path isn't so much religious as spiritual. This means I'm not focused so much on ritual as applying certain concepts to daily life and just trying to live well within my own ethical standards. I try to do the right thing not for fear of retribution, but because I know in my heart it's the right thing. While I do my best not to purposely harm others, I have no qualms in doing so if it is needed to protect myself or an innocent. I eat meat, but do so with the knowledge that no matter what we eat, life must consume life to exist. I function as nature designed me: as an omnivore. My art and drumming are a large part of my magick such as it is. They are the source of my energy and sometimes they are used to direct that energy to a goal. I don't so "spells" so much as simply meditate and direct my energy to a task using archetypes of the divine to shape it.
I enjoy meeting new people, though I'm usually too busy to get out and socialize much.
