Raised in a italian-american, roman catholic household, I was told by my father at a young age that my ability to see spirits and lights around people was a sign of the devil. (Still see spirits, but trying to find the lights once more.) Lost my way for a long time, but am finally on the Goddess' path once more, thanks in part to an amazing priestess/psychic who has changed my life in the two short months I have known her. No longer will I be ashamed of what I believe or what I can see. Being very impatient, I am frustrated that everything isn't coming more quickly, but I've been told that patience is the Goddess' first lesson for me. To everyone out there who would tell their children that their gifts are from the devil, I will use a saying that my great Aunt Shirley lived by: You better make sure your own hen house is clean before flinging poo at someone else's!

**Just a small story: Being away from the Craft for so long, I needed to get a wand. My mentor suggested I would be better off finding something in the forest that spoke to me, so I have been searching for the right one for a while now. A week ago, I was walking in the woods with my son and found one that I thought might be right. I picked it up and continued walking but I prayed silently to the Goddess to give me some kind of sign that it was the right one for me. As my son and I continued our walk, he stopped and asked me if he could see it. Seeing his interest, I immediately held it out for his approval, when HE immediately took it from me and threw it in the water! She really does answer every time, it just may not be in the way you were expecting. I am still laughing about it and happily I found the right one that same day!
