Courtney Weber is a Priestess, writer, Tarot Advisor, Astrologer, performer and activist originally from Portland, OR. She received her ordination under Reverend Cynthia DeFay of the Cluan-Feart School of Men's and Women's Mysteries. She is the co-leader of the Novices of the Old Ways, an inter-faith Pagan group in New York City. Since beginning the study of Tarot at the age of 15, Courtney has gained a national clientel base and is a highly popular Tarot consultant at corporate, community and underground arts events in the Northeast Region. For two years, Courtney wrote (under the pen-name of Sister Mary Manhattan) the weekly cult-favorite astrologyexplained.blogspot.com. She has been a featured astrologer on Oomph.net and Bakespace.com. Her fiction and erotica has appeared in Failbetter.com, Bank Street Magazine and Barebackmagazine.com. Courtney has been an active force on the Committee to Save St. Brigid's Church, which recently saved an historic cathedral from demolition. She has now turned her activist efforts to marriage equality in New York, performing handfasting ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples at public rallies. Courtney lives in Manhattan with her two cats, Lilth and Matilda.
