I grew up in a Christian world with a deep connection to nature. In 1995 when I first found the words and descriptions to put to what I have always known, I was excited and scared! A Witch? How can that be? Lo and behold, that is what I am, and have been. I began reading and learning as much as I could. Then I had kids and my reading and learning trickled to a near halt. Now my time is slowly becoming mine again (very slowly, but my altar has finally been brought out of a box and set up in my room -- out where I can at least see and use it!) .
I do continue to learn and am driven to know much more. I find my path to be eclectic and inclusive, mostly because of my allergy to formalized religion of any kind, even pagan. Although I see the benefit of working with others, I still have a hard time with it. So I am mainly a solitary practitioner, for the most part -- somewhat out of practice -- and I draw from many different traditions. Wicca, Shamanism, Chaos magic, Elemental magic, and others, though I am not any one of those types alone.
I've worked with the Correllian Nativist church in my area and was initiated into the first degree in early 2007.
My focus of late is Green Witchcraft and elemental magic. My goals are to learn more about herbalism, healing, and correspondences. I have learned a great deal from my Wiccan sisters and brothers, and a good amount of what I know comes from there, as that is where I started. But I thrive on change (ok, I resist it to some extent too, but as far as my spirituality, I thrive) . I love to evolve, grow, learn, change, adapt, relearn, step back, and grow some more. My spiritual path is the blazing fire, the swift river, the strong breeze and the pounding heartbeat of Earth Mother.
Indeed, the only constant is change!
