Rev. Lynne's Profile...
I hate labels. When you define yourself using a particular label (ie. Wiccan, Witch, pagan, etc.) it limits the perceptions people form about you before even getting to know you. Also, lately due to the rampant elitism and unhealthly group dynamics I see more and more between the varied paths of Paganism, I no longer align myself with any particular group.
My path follows honoring the Feminine Face of Divinity. The Great Mother Goddess, in all her appellations and characteristics. My beliefs are that it really does not matter what "religion" you claim as your spiritual path, as long as it provides you the foundation for connecting with the Sacred. With the Source of All Creation, a Higher Power, your Higher Self. However you view the most sacred force in the Cosmos. I've found that those who follow a path of devotions and meditations, and prayers tend to be more conscientious of the manner in which they relate to their families, communities and to the earth. Their deep spirituality gives them the impetus to treat others with respect, to respect all life, and to respect and protect the fragile and endangered earth.
My path began when I was 19 and has taken many twists and turns. My experience and education came from involvement in 3 different Dianic covens over the years. I served as HPS over 3 years in one of them and 5 years in the last one. As I matured, I sought a more personal, one on one relationship with the Goddess. So I withdrew from all coven work and focused solely on daily devotions and altar work. I spent 3 years doing intense shadow work and journeying. It was in those sacred moments that I had revealed to me in a vision that I was to open a Spiritual Center. At first it was intended to be just a center for women, but as things evolved and balance was needed, we welcomed men into our activities and workings.
After observing so many of our mothers/fathers and families struggling to grab some bit of balance in their lives and finding no solid ground beneath their feet .. only shifting sands, only quicksand, I came to the realization that women and men from all walks of life, from all lifestyles, religions, careers; mothers/fathers and single alike, gay or straight, rich or poor..are all starving for community, for someone to be in their corner, to offer a comforting shoulder or a comrade in arms if need be. So in 2011I opened Inanna Spiritual Center. People of non-mainstream paths need a place to gather in circles with people of like mind to share their knowledge, advice, skills, the secrets and mysteries. A place to recover from the stresses of daily life and regain some balance and become whole and empowered.
I am older now, and it took me a lifetime to find my spiritual path and my inner strength. Now I find my life dedicated to helping other seekers find their strength and love of life.
