Likes: Living in rural America, martial sports and warrior creed. HORSES (they keep me sane in an insane world) . My spouse and small circle of friends. People who are always willing to learn, and are just a bit skeptical even if open minded. Celebrating from the heart and not from the "book". Living to learn every day.
Dislikes: Small mindedness. Extremist people and politics, especially people with a manipulative mindset. I find conformist religion, and practices to be uncomfortable. I dislike the modern suburban and urban mindset.
Sorbus's Profile...
I'm a married male Virgo now at the magic age of 50 and amazed to have reached this benchmark. I'm an Eclectic and universalist by nature though in the past I've been with fairly mainstream Wiccan & Druidic groups. After many years of be a part of different organized groups, I have pretty much given up on joining and trying to conform to covens and instead find individuals that we call friends to celebrate with.
We live on a small horse farm with a colonial era farm house where we have a couple of wonderful horses and stallion. Living close to the natural world gives me an appreciation of the intimacy of the cycle of life.
I'm actually an intellectual by background and inclination. I have multiple college degrees in history, anthropology, intellectual history and education. My profession is teaching and I have been doing it for almost three decades. Nevertheless I balance the world of the mind with the world of the nature. Having a background in the classics (the old Greek & Roman stuff, ya know) I have a strong belief in the role of balance in one's life. I read widely and have a lot of hobbies to express a passion for history. To do that I am an avid historical reenactor as well as participant in martial sports ranging from jousting, to medieval combat, shooting sports and the study of arms. I never lack for things to do!
