I have been practicing for 15 years now. I am largely self-taught and might be too set in my ways at this point to take guidance without great stubbornness. I am a ravenous reader and have read many (and I mean MANY) books on Witchcraft, Magick and Paganism. I enjoy intellectual conversations and debates regarding those subjects. I will admit that with much of my time spent reading, I can honestly say I've logged much more time in the THEORY of being a Pagan Witch than actually PRACTICING. This is something I hope to overcome in the near future, though perhaps being able to connect again with like-minded people could give me the swift kick in the rear I need to actually DO something.
I consider myself non-Wiccan mainly because I am a hard-polytheist (rather than subscribing to the soft polytheism common in Wicca) , though I will admit that most of the structure of my practice is derived from my study of Wicca as it applies to the Solitary Practitioner.
I can be blunt, and if I think you're pulling something out of thin air, I will ask for sources. If you claim it is a personal gnosis, I will respect that, but it does not mean I will accept your view. I do enjoy playing Devil's Advocate a bit and will poke at you to get you to think beyond the box you may have put yourself in. I might not do this in the nicest of ways, but please do not take it personally, I just want to make you think.
