Three One Moon's Profile...
Welcome to the nest of three one moon
Thank all the staff for allowing me to nest here for awhile. I don't believe I ever had a profile before. I'm appreciative for being allowed to do so. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It's still a work in progress, as I am.
I enjoy reading. I know there is a lot to read within these 6, 000+ pages. I hear y'all, I could do that without creating a profile. It's a good question that was never asked. All I am seeking is to expand my knowledge while enjoying the stories and poetry. I would consider myself a better reader than a writer.
I was born in April of ’59 into the House of Aries at 1:10am under the Sign of Fire. I was born in East Chicago and raised in Gary Indiana. I left there in ’78 and never looked back.
My childhood was fun until it wasn't. Nobody too look at but myself for choices I made. I did achieve a bonafide high school diploma from night school located in the adjacent county.
I joined the USAF in ’79 while living in Ohio. I worked in an auto parts store at the time. I enjoyed putting around town on a moped with a basket of parts. Unlike my brother who drove a PT boat into the Delta (bronze star) , my time was a time of peace. I was able to experience the cultures of Mississippi, Louisiana, upstate New York, Japan (three years) , and Korea. I've been to the DMZ. I'd just as soon offer a respectful bow (to lean forward) than a handshake. I’ve been blessed to have crossed paths with many beautiful people, locally as well
I did graduate college cum laude in 2004. I wish now I would have chosen the college endeavor in my earlier years. Well that, and I wish now I would have chosen the culinary degree. I enjoy cooking.
These days I’m fortunate to live in an area similar to what I used to enjoy camping in. Now I’m able to live it 24/7. I care for a woman who for the last 18+ years we’ve shared a life together faithfully. Our vows aren't recognized by any modern government or church, yet it is my belief more sacred than either could offer. My asking is that I am able to live long enough to hold her hand as she takes her last breath as I held my mother’s. I loved my mother. I still do. She passed over in ’86.
I've been blessed to care for a puppy. I call him 'red elk', or 'painted red elk', or 'running red elk'. He can be all three at the same time. Usually I just call him by his given name. He was a rescue pup who is an uplifting joy in my life. He's a joy with attitude. Defiant may be a better way to say it. He has a beautiful bark except at 3 in the morning. Did I mention I love cats as well? Yes I do.
For me personally Earth magick is more than just a path, it's a way I try my best to live. Possibly the only requirement for entry into this path is a love of Mother Earth. It seems simple enough.
Decades ago I would walk into the forest and all I could see was a bunch of trees. Today I am able to see all of her life. It's within the forest I am able to feel the most connection. It became easy for me to see her life in the inhabitants, in the trees, and even in the soil. To see the life in a stone was more difficult. I am able to hold a stone in the palm of my hand. The stone will always be long after it leaves our sight. I can take the stone and divide it, and keep dividing it for all of eternity. Mathematically, the stone will always be as proven by a simple number line. Possibly, somewhere beyond the universes exists an infinitely large stone. The number line tells me it's possible. It's too much for my feeble brain to comprehend. I just accept it and leave it at that.
It’s a tossup of what I love most, the magick of Nature or the magick of Music. I love them both. I love animals and would rather hunt with a camera than a gun. If I were to kill an animal, I would bless it's spirit and thank the animal for giving it's life so I may eat. (To date, I've never had to kill one ... i guess I'm fortunate that way)
I enjoy Tarot as well. I’m able to read the Cards, as I believe most anyone can, but I wouldn’t consider myself an interpreter of the Cards. I believe in the truth of the cards. I believe the cards may change yet their truth remains.
I enjoy candle magick as well. The ambiance and aroma are soothing. I enjoy dancing amidst the flickering shadows more so than a public dance floor. (what can I say, I just love candles)
I wouldn't consider myself a spellcaster. For me personally, Priestesses, you know more about it than I do. I believe in the Law of Three.
Renaissance Faires are enjoyable ... it's been awhile ... I enjoy ritual as well as Old English, both of which are currently lacking in my life.
I know little of the Santeria practices ... I know enough to respect it ... my experience has been a beautiful people with a beautiful culture. I was moved almost to tears the first time I witnessed a true salsa dance between a man and a woman in love with one another. It's a beautiful dance indeed.
I believe in guardian angels and am thankful for the ones that watch over me. I was told by an interpreter friend that one of my guardians was/is a civil war veteran. For the life of me, I'm unable to think of who it may be. I was taken aback a little. Surprised would be a better word. Up until that point I always thought it may be Janis Joplin, a woman of 7 octaves. Seriously though I do love her music as with most artists of that time period.
In all that we do, be it done in a way that harms none
- when the work ever done, wilst thee havist fun -
- more than a mere promise, it is a handshake -
- blessed be the living dead, blessed be the dead -
