I'm a SC resident, one of the very few non-christians in my small town. living in the bible belt; i get almost daily invitations to come to church, and bi-weekly tounge lashings about how im going to burn in hell. but enough about that, im among friends online.
I'm what you get when a catholic woman and an aetheistic man, (raised with christian morals and a healthy respect for the lessons the bible teaches if not "God", ) get married and raise a child.
i was taught, from a young age, to see magic in everything and attribute it all to a divine plan by my mother. while at the same time being taught to look at everything with logic and reason by my father. the results were at best amusing.
I was a christian throughout my childhood, until i could begin to start formulating my own opinions using logic and reason. when looking at the details christianity ceased to make sense to me. i then went through a short year of agnosticism eventually leading me toward Wicca. for a year after that i followed the principles of Wicca until I noticed some things i didn't agree with. I sat down and thought about what i belived. debating with a Wiccan friend helped me in this proccess. I came to this conclusion. I am not a Wiccan. I am a Pagan.
I do not belive in a god or goddess, and i do not belive in "white" or "black" magic. I came to the conclusion that all magic is grey, and is based upon the intention of the user. magic is a tool. much like a knife is a tool which can be used to take a life, so can it be used to save one. i feel magic is the same.
the manipulation of energy is something crucial to me in my worship of nature. and while i cant claim to start fires with my mind, i can certainly say that through practice i have learned to manipulate my own personal energies.
I am an Aries. i was born a ram (fire) , in the year of the yang metal horse (wild fire) , in the hour of the snake (fire) . I show and always have shown every trait of an Aries. long before i knew these things fire held a special place in my heart, which scared the crap out of my parents as a child... lol.
I am the person people come to for advice, because with me you get what you ask for. you want the truth you'll get it. I have a tendancy to be very blunt. but i will also tell you that before i say something that will upset you. I am a problem solver. and though you may not like my methods, they will work if the effort is made.
