Ruadh De'Sidhe's Profile...
I've always had an interest in mythologies, comparative religion, metaphysical studies and the occult. I identify as Pagan because my view of religion, like my political views, differ on enough key points that I don't actually fit into any of the pigeonholes where people want to put me.
I am a spiritual advisor, root worker, and light worker. I didn't choose to do that, I was called. I am Reiki II certified. I chose not to pursue my Master/Teacher certification because I don't feel a call to teach Reiki. After receiving my Reiki certification, I chose to get ordained, in part, because of the legal protection afforded under the 1st Amendment as a member of clergy. My root work, Reiki, spiritual advice, and light work are all parts of my ministry. I'm an ordained minister in the Church of The Universal Light (TUL) and it has been through financial assistance from TUL that I have been able to offer advice and assistance to people who cannot afford to pay for Tarot readings and ritual items. I know a lot of people talk trash about online ordination and think it's just so you can perform someone's wedding but I have found TUL to be very supportive of my ministry efforts.
The majority of my clients are Christian and I use the Bible, particularly the Psalms a LOT in my work. Consequently, I have a very low tolerance for 'Pagans' who bash the Bible when what they are really angry at is how they were brought up or how they have been treated by 'Christians'. I also have little tolerance for 'Christians' who say that what I do is wrong. I did not ask to be psychically gifted and intuitive, I was born that way. I do what I do from a place of love, light, and hope. People call me when they have nowhere else to turn and I try to help them through traditional readings, practical advice, and directing them to agencies and organizations that might be able to assist them.
In addition to being an ordained minister with TUL, I'm also a notary public for the state of South Carolina. I am available to officiate marriages.
I believe that the spirit of the Divine is one. I believe that there is a spark or piece of that Divinity inside all of us. I believe spiritual paths are unique to the individual and that the only *wrong* spiritual path is no spiritual path at all. I believe in good and I believe in evil because I believe both exist in the world and are necessary for the survival of the other.
