Emily:
Emily follows an eclectic path, predominantly studying Shamanism and she is a gifted artist working mostly in paintings and pyrography. She is not currently studying formally with a teacher or group but does self study.
Troy:
I was initiated into the Alexandrian tradition of Wicca and became a first degree priest of that tradition in June 2002. Unfortunately, life took some wild turns after that and I wasn't able to resume my formal studies for a few years. Then after I did resume studies, a few months later my high priest was forced due to circumstances beyond control to disband the coven. So I became an orphan witch. ;-)
After that I did a lot of self study as well as get together with Pagans of various traditions almost on a weekly basis. Life is a journey of learning and I am blessed to have many wise and knowledgeable people in my life to learn from. I try to pass on what I know and help people on their own paths as much as I can.
For a few years I was a member of Ar nDraiocht Fein or ADF for short and studied ancient Indo-European spirituality and I was a founding member of Eagle Mountain Protogrove, ADF in the DFW area, now known as Blackland Prairie Protogrove.
Today I am a 1st Degree Priest of Sacred Fire Temple following a mostly eclectic path of study with heavy emphasis on Celtic influenced as well as other Indo-European and Native American beliefs. My wife and I hang out with and visit many Pagan groups in the area and have friends from a wide variety of paths.
Regardless of what path someone is on or what degree they have attained I believe that if someone is truly enlightened and wise it will show in their actions, thoughts and deeds.
I enjoy the energy and spiritual fulfillment of a good revel, drum jam, festival or circle filled with people who are not seeking to push their own agenda on anyone or play some sort of silly political game. So I seek these things out when I can find them and support causes which promote unity, religious freedom and tolerance.
