I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, and I've been practicing my craft for well over a decade. I've always had a big imagination, and my questioning nature has provided an abundance of experiences to learn from. The road less traveled has been a theme in my life, and it has served me well. My influences include; The Firefly Tradition, Scott Cunningham, Laurie Cabot, Christopher Penczack, Silver Ravenwolf, Margot Adler, Iris Firemoon, T. Thorn Coyle, among others.
I first began exploring the world of Wicca and Witchcraft in the Autumn of 1997 with a protection spell that was given to me by a Wiccan couple I networked with online. This spell was for protection and balance in a situation where I was bullied, picked on, and harassed at school. Seeing the dramatic effects of this spell manifest in front of me, I knew that this was my calling. With over a decade of solitary experience, I came to a point where I felt I needed to connect with others of like mind. In the Autumn of 2010 I attended my first public event, and a spark within me blossomed to become more involved and do all within my power to help build this community and to provide a place for future seekers in finding something that I didn't have when I began my journey.
As a community organizer in Northern Virginia and DC, I devote myself to service through volunteering, outreach, community building efforts, environmental stewardship projects, and facilitating a variety of activities for the Spiritual Seeker. I thrive in being able to give back to the community, and providing resources for those seeking direction on their personal path. I believe we are capable of changing our world for the better when we focus on the things that bring people together.
I am on track to become a Nationally certified and licensed Massage Therapist by Autumn of 2012, through an 18 month program at Potomac Massage Training Institute. Some of my professional goals include yoga instructor training, starting a natural soaps and candles venture, and I have visions of opening a spiritual retail store and product delivery service in Northern Virginia.
Some of my personal goals include beginning the attunement process for Reiki healing, learning as much as I can from each individual that I interact with, being an influence for the greater good, strengthening community, laying the foundation for pagan and earth-centric places of worship in Northern Virginia, while continuing to learn, and staying in tune with myself and the Gods.
