Kuliusum's Profile...
Born and raised in Washington in a large loving family I found my pagan path after much soul-searching and study. I was initiated into the Order of the Phoenix in 1971 and progressed through the third degree. I was ordained in that tradition and after Boeing's near collapse our group broke up and we lost contact. Acting as a solitary witch I attended some of the local group rituals remaining in the background until I attempted to become active in the local chapter of COG. I facillitated small discussion groups in the Seattle area and taught students in the basics of the magikal arts until My wife to be introduced herself to me over the internet. She moved accross the country because her Goddess told her that was her place. We looked for compatible groups in our area and found little. I could not share my tradition with her for the common oath-bound reasons so we practiced ritual in an eclectic Wiccan manner. We looked for something that was closer to both our spiritualities and found the Sumerian myths touched us both deeply. Together we compiled those practices, that we needed and enjoyed, into a loose form of practice and eventually co-founded the canon and dogma of Arratu. As people joined our group we founded the Temple of Water and Stone in Seattle. Throughout this time we were working in the community through discussion groups. One of these groups became COAST (Coalition Of Alternative Spiritual Teaching) which is a group dedicated to bringing those in need of lessons together with those who wish to teach and in educating the general population to reduce the prejudice against the many pagan paths that exist in the Puget Sound area. I was the founding president of Central Puget Sound Pagan Pride, Inc. We were an affiliate group of the national Pagan Pride Project and, for 6 years held an annual Pagan Pride event in the central Puget Sound Area. I was a founding member of the Covenant Fellowship which was a group that facillitated public rituals and classes in the Seattle area. I served on the Board of CASA (Cascadia Alternative Spirituality Association) for a time as a "founding member" but it has since dissolved. I also served as the executive director of Coast (Coalition Of Alternative Spirituality Teachers) . My wife sold ritual cloth-work through Edge of the Circle Books in Seattle, Kyyndred's Closet in Auburn and Fire and Water Sundries in Tacoma. Together we held ritual in our back yard circle for those who were accepted by our small, but growing, group. We held classes occasionally that were open to all, both in our home and at Kyndred's Closet in Auburn. We have moved to the Walla Walla area and are actively looking for others of like mind to walk circle and with whom we can celebrate our spirituality. I do have references in the Seattle area that I can provide for confirmation of my qualifications.
