I am eclectic, and I connect most with the Norse and Celtic pantheons. I'm not into crystals, or fairies, or vampires, or psychics, or astrology, or tarot. I guess I'm kind of a practical pagan. I would love to meet some pagan people who are comfortable in their own skin, and I'm not talking about getting skyclad. I'm not talking about in-your-face pagan either.
Having spent some time online checking out various websites and pagan communities, I have yet to discover a place that makes me feel comfortable, but I would really, really like to find a spiritual home. Someplace I could meet and work with other people like me, but I'm starting to wonder if I will be a solitary practitioner forever.
My views on spells: I believe that the universe is connected in ways that are mysterious to me. I believe that there is power and beauty in the order and chaos that exists in nature, and spellwork is a way for me to explore, revere and tap into that power and improve my life. Since I am the conduit to that power, spells and their components must be personally relevant to me. The Gods and Goddesses represent the many aspects of that power and interconnectedness, and celebrating the sabbats and esbats offer me opportunities to focus on those individual aspects.
