Blessings! I am an Eclectic Hedgewitch, influenced by both the practical elements of this Path, as well as the Shamanic ones.
I was born in Alaska, raised by missionaries in Africa, raised my own daughter back in Alaska, and have now settled at Singing Frog Pond in the Pacific Northwest. I have been a Pagan since I was a child in Africa, although I did not truly realize it until Anonymous left a box on my doorstep during a particularly difficult time in my life as an 18-year old. This box contained a pack of Tarot, as well as several books on Witchcraft, Numerology and other Pagan topics - and a Witch was re/born!
I currently practice a Solitary Path, including Kitchen and Hearth Magic, divination by Tarot, Ecstatic Dance and Lucid Dreaming. I write poetry, am working on a novel, and I do pen essays about whatever is on my mind. Things I am ready to share within a community of like-minded folk.
When I read Tarot, I do not think of it as Past, Present and Future ... I think of it as Past, Present and Possible, as nothing beyond today is set in stone, but rather, is fluid and ever-changing.
My current studies include creating a sustainable urban Kitchen Witch's Garden, researching Pagan topics for my novel, which has strong Pagan themes. I am striving to know and understand the spirits of the protected wetlands that back right up to my home in the hills. I call the seasonal pond Singing Frog Pond, because of the marvelous music of the Pacific Tree Frogs that inhabit there. These Woods are a physical manifestation of the Hedge Between the Worlds that I walk, and I am so Blessed to be here.
