I am a healer, teacher, sage, wife, and mother. I love walking barefoot (or in heels) and looking at the stars. I believe in Faeries, dragons, and other things that go bump in the night. I have found an amazing passion for yoga and I am continuing my education to become a school counselor.
I have been on a Pagan path for many years. While I believed the path, I did not live it. I have begun living it daily now.
I am a Witch. A Pagan. But not Wiccan. I do magic, but do not cast a circle and use few tools (candles, incense, salt, water and a cauldron) . I do not believe in performing any ritual Skyclad. I do not have/use a magical name by choice. There are many things that I have noticed I do/feel differently than others. I therefore do not subscribe to the school of thought regarding degrees, lineage, “my way is the right way”, or any other ego driven beliefs. I do not like labels, or claiming a tradition.But I do think Starhawk said it best “The word "Witch" carries so many negative connotations that many people wonder why we use the word at all. Yet to reclaim the word "Witch" is to reclaim our right, as women, to be powerful; as men, to know the feminine within as divine.”
This is why I choose to call myself a Witch. I think Traditions and labels limit my faith, my spirituality, and my focus. However, I believe that everyone should embrace their spirituality in a way that works for them, so if this is how someone chooses to practice then that is a wonderful thing as well.
I think we should all practice and believe how we choose and what feels right, as long as it is harmful to ourselves or others
