Phoenix Forestsong's Profile...
I have always been drawn to my path, but in the past there were always obstacles in my way that I felt were necessary as they were important to other people. Eventually I made the decision to do what I felt was right for me, and here I am.
I come from a fundamentalist charismatic christian background (it didn't make sense to me either) , which is basically the Old Testament God, plus Jesus, the speaking of tongues (not glossolalia...insane gobbledygook) , rock and roll, passing out, and dancing. Yeah, it was weird.
Once I graduated High School I became catholic because I felt I needed the strong traditions. I needed to believe in something that wouldn't fold on me overnight or change pastors with the regularity of the setting of the sun . I still had not found what I was looking for, and in my spirit I knew that Christianity as a whole wasn't right for me, so I ended up finding Wicca, or it found me. 'Witch' ever way, It's been in my blood ever since.
Even after denying the true nature of my soul for years, I still ended up right here, where I belong, walking the path with the Goddess and the God. It was such a blessed relief to finally feel true responsible freedom. I've taken my time in coming out of the broom closet, but, well, here I am.
I'm always open to talking to others about their spiritual paths and beliefs, and if anyone is up for a witchy discussion or has any kind of question, feel free to drop me a line. I love speaking with other pagans, as we are such a fun, down to earth, and interesting community.
It goes without saying that I love to learn and if I can teach you or you can teach me, then we're both better off than we were before. I may not have a vast selection of knowledge to work from, but what I do have to offer I'll do with all that I am. I do take the responsibility to teach and to share my knowledge with those desiring to learn very seriously.
I believe that if you have a desire to learn, then you are ready to begin to learn. However, one of the first lessons in the Craft is the lesson of patience...so be careful what you wish for because you may just find yourself a whole new, empowered, happy, and responsible person. Now you can't say that you haven't been warned! ;->
