Forgotten

I do not know the depth of my sadness
Nor do I understand it
It reaches into my soul
And clings to my heart
All that once seemed possible
Has now been wiped from my mind
All that is me has been erased from my soul
I am but a vessel
Empty and shallow
There is nothing left of me
But a body to touch
But this body does not feel
My heart is but a stone
And my mind
I have lost
Do not look at me like you know me
For I am no longer who you once knew
Think of me as the shadow
Of what is left of me
And all that I had been to you
Forget for it no longer is
And all that you meant to me
I have forgotten.

Author's Notes: Something I wrote in my sadness when I was full of madness. After my heart had been broken and I felt betrayed.
