Land

I live in a devastated land
Rabid winds howl
And ashes of unborn hopes
Scatter, hide in shame
Wasted trees, their buds denied
Cry out in desperation for any deliverance
I live in a devastated land
Its waters, barren
Lap the shores of uselessness
The inhabitants reel
Like drunkards in need
Of righteousness
I live in a devastated land
Waiting, impatient
To begin restoration
Do not think this ruined land
Is beyond redemption
I have seed in my hand
And awaiting the healing balm
Author's Notes: This is from a series of poems I wrote in reguard to my Bi-Polar disorder and how with the help of the Gods and friends I cope
