The Rain Has Come

Above me the sky rumbles,
The dark clouds swirl overhead,
Light flickers through the slate grey sky,
Rain falls.
I feel the cool touch of the rain,
The cleansing water from above,
Washes over my skin and through my hair,
I can't help but smile.
The skies above me sing out loud,
I laugh along with them,
There is so much power around me,
I feel totally safe here.
Surrounded by the forces of nature,
I feel its strength surge through me,
Filling me until I can't contain it.
I have to move, I have to sing,
The ground is wet and the rain still comes,
And I can only dance.
