Shadows

Clouds thickly blanket the darkened sky
Sunlight strains to be seen
The streets are grey and warmth is scarce
And all life seems to hide
Wakening to the morning's hush
The steel grey sky glowers
The world now seems just black and white
But not the shades between
Although the land looks dark and dead
Warmth and light will return
The sky shall clear, the sun will shine
The shadows will disappear
