Eternal darkness fills the sky
A darkness that spreads out through time and through space
Consuming all in its path
People are afraid of it
People don't want to be alone with it
But the people don't understand
Theres nothing in the dark to be afraid of
At least not the dark
People should be afraid of other people
The night can't hurt you
The night can't cause pain
So come into the dark
Come be part of my world
Come be part of the night
The sun is hot and blinding and can burn
The moon is cool and welcoming
Which would you rather see
There's nothing here that can hurt you
That can't hurt you in the day
So come outside and join us
Come outside and play
Author's Notes: I wrote this poem about 2 years ago, its not perfect but its not bad (or at least i hope so)
