Poem for Felicia

My daemon
I see you
Your smile shines through
Felicia
Her violet eyes are yours
Emerging feminine
in a male body
she is the physical manifestation
of the Goddess awakened
Burgundy lips
Newly formed breasts
Dark raven hair
Strong jawline
Kind mouth
You looked beautiful to me
A strong brave heart
I flew to your side
I want to wrap my crow wings around you
Keep you safe
From stares of hateful bigots
Insensitive laughter of idiots
That word freak
I crossed the line
You welcomed me in
I know not if you thought me mad
But the depth of conversation we had
transcended us both
You gently soothed
my anguished thoughts
with your knowing words
Sometimes a guiding spirit
talks through another
if you listen
We listened
and spoke
angel to angel
There you were Crowman
Showing me my kin
We came in
To one another
In conversation
In laughter
The train disappeared
In our exchange of tenderness
Our smiles genuine
as we soaked each other up
straight to the soul
"So much happier to be your self
than to deny or hide
Use your throat, your voice
It will show and guide"
Brutality's abuse
is served to her in a daily dose
I wish to keep her close
though she walks so confidently
You hope lotto will rid you of your male genitalia
But you are already perfect
to me
"I liked talking with you
Look I've got a smile on my face" she points with her hand
"I'm happy"
It's then I understand
Joy reflected in a pool of intimacy
The Goddess dances
to the horned God's tune
as the family of crow grows
Author's Notes: I wrote this poem last year not long after first feeling my daemon guide. Talking with Felicia who I met only this once, gave me this transcendental experience which propelled me even further into my own reaching out to connect with the divine in others. It was a blessing from spirit, as I was questioning my own ability to trust the heart's intuition, after not being met by someone I had reached out to. The voice of angel channelling reminded me to keep reaching out by using my voice. This I do in poetry and action when the energy rises and it is mine to do. I am trying to let go of the why's. Sometimes you can see and other times it is not for you to see but only to trust and develop intuition, perception and inspired action. Felicia was brave and showed her true self every day on that redneck train. She gave me so much courage and I was glad I was brave enough to reach for her for that moment in time.
