The Dark Moon

Hope with wings,
They fly and soar,
Happy, carefree,
Through hearts doors,
What unimaginable joys they must see,
Happy, carefree, like I used to be.
Where they dwell is a mystery,
There in the dark, dreamcaves by the crystalline seas,
Where the wolves they bark,
And the wolves they howl,
Where the witches they cackle,
While vampyres prowl.
Lost in the dark woods of this place,
They hunt me, pursue me, obsessed with the chase,
Here monsters that creep, and pounce and kill,
Battle glowing kewl faeries, and unicorns pale.
Through the black forests where you can never escape,
Across purple moons as rich as blood,
Over the forest floor I spin and sway,
Where violent moonlight spills and floods.
In pools of dew, moonwater and ice,
I mate my gryphon lover,
Naked beneath the torturous waterfall of life,
The wind is my only cover.
Wild, enchanted nature of mine,
As deep as the magick which abounds in this place,
This rugged terrain where I was born,
And in my mind can only now live.
