Invocation to The Frotteur

Newspapers, magazines and sweet wrappers rustling
Background chit-chattering on mobile phones
On this platform it is I who lingers longest
Metro moving one step closer to the station
Smooth tight skirts and bestockinged legs
Stand with clinging shirts and long feminine hair
From the tunnel emerges a long slow breath
That arrives with a gentle 'shhh' and opening doors
Bodies upon bodies we squeeze tightly inside
Door ('shhh') closes and into motion; my hand glides
Down, over, momentarily holding the warm and erect bulge
In the front of the businessman's flannel trousers
Walking from the station I remember smooth joined curves
And the roused tingling head that was beneath my fingers
Had his hand held mine to prolong the embrace?
