Just Like You

You look at us in fear.
We are the ones who come in the night to steal away your children,
Your husbands;
At least, that's what you've been told.
The truth is, we're just like you,
We walk like you,
Talk like you,
Bleed like you.
Fear is the only thing that sets us apart.
You look at us in fear.
We are the casters of dark spells,
The bringers of plague,
Of illness;
Or so you've been told.
The truth is, we're just like you,
We walk just like you,
Talk just like you,
Bleed just like you.
Fear is the only thing that keeps us apart.
So banish the fear,
Throw it aside, and what do you have?
Someone who walks just like you,
Talks just like you,
Bleeds just like you.
Fear is the only thing that sets us apart.
Without it, we are
Just like you.
