Perfect Fairytale

Perfect Fairytale
Shattered glass, the angel falls.
Where were you to save me?
Broken promises, whispered words,
Why isn’t it like you say it’d always be?
My Prince is gone,
Turned to ash.
My castle’s for sale
Cause nothing lasts.
You’re not real
And fairytales don’t exist.
You left me holding the torch
Too blind to see it burn.
I wanted to hate you,
Look how the tables have turned.
The Phoenix dies, the horses slayed
My perfect world is gone.
How could you have been this cruel?
Just look at what you’ve done.
My Prince is gone,
Turned to ash.
My castle’s for sale
Cause nothing lasts.
You’re not real
And fairytales don’t exist.
Author's Notes: This is actually a song I wrote, not sure what it's about, but I felt like it needed to be shared.
