Music of the Night

Age Group: Teen
Moon sings through my blood,
I vibrate with its haunting chorus.
Trees, reaching, snagging my soul,
Illuminated sharply by the waxing lunar.
Voices raising, lifting, crooning,
Tremble with awe, as one, harmonize.
Wolves, wailing their despondent verse,
Join with the lurking shadows, drawing close.
Through cracks and crannies,
The wind whispers joyful welcoming.
Clouds roil, billow, thunder,
Covering stars, blackout consuming.
Creeping vines, skulking across the ground,
Rustle in the wind, embracing us all.
Graceful motions, arms raised high,
Candles flicker with welcoming light.
Echoing call of the owl, drifting,
Uniting with the Music of the Night.
