Heartbreaker

Her heart breaks and shatters
He said the most depressing thing
How could he have broken my heart
It felt just as bad as him taking back a ring
Taking from a girl the only thing that brings joy
He rips out of her grasp what jou can bring
Not allow to attend the dance
Hearing the words makes her want to cry
The dance to her was like flying to a bird
The cruel thing would have been to pry
How could she get herself back in his arms
Now clue how, but she will try
She needs to turn to a friend
To make this deep dark pain end.
Author's Notes: this poem I posted wasn't written by me but by a friend who wanted me to post it for her. She is heartbroken she tells me, maybe this will help her heal.
