Family Isn't Everything

It's a long way down. The water rushes. You can see the rocks. Mother nature is so pretty.
"You're fat." "Stinky." "I hate you!" all the memories come flooding back. All the neglect, abuse, and painful thoughts won't go away.
The sirens sound. The pleas of her mother to step back into her arms. 15 years of nothing isn't easily forgotten.
She sees the one person who was nice to her. "it's alright" "I love you" "you're gorgeous" She smiles at his love.
She turns and throws her body into his arms and cries. Mom sighes, feeling like she lost her daughter anyway.
