The Tale of Cheating and Mistreating

Age Group: Adult
Mommy was a hypocrite
Daddy got fed up with it
Left and he cheated
And then you repeated
Is that why you’re so screwed up?
First grade you got you a “girlfriend”
Then she said it was the end
Turned and kissed Billy
Boy didn’t you feel silly
Is that why you’re so screwed up?
6th grade Danielle seemed interested
Your relationship was very short-lived
The new boy came
She left you for his game
Is that why you’re so screwed up?
12th grade is when you and I met
I thought “really, how bad could this get?”
Things were going so well
Then it all went to hell
You definitely screwed me up
A prettier girl came into town
You let all of your guards fall down
Little to my knowledge
You went to her college
To sleep with her night after night
I found out from your best friend
“Did you hear what they did?” he said
I screamed and I cried
Swore I’d tear off your hide
Broke up with you once and for all
Guess you learned this trick from Daddy
You followed his path like a caddy
He taught you so early
And that is surely
Why you are so screwed up
So I took a razorblade to my wrists
Balled my hand into a fist
Punched the mirror
Never felt queerer
As I spun and fell to the floor
Woke up in this here hospital bed
Bandaged and with an ache in my head
Then I fell asleep
For a whole week
Dreamed that I killed you again and again
Woke up then in another bed
The pain had gone from my wrists and my head
Instead of a gown
Just like a clown
Wore a straightjacket buckled and tied
So I guess you made me go crazy
Once in a while I get hazy
But I’ll never forget
The day we first met
And how thereafter you ***ed me up!
