Butterfly's dance

Age Group: Adult
In a grove of roses he walks,
Butterflies dance around,
whispering secrets in his ear,
As pure joy shines in his eyes.
This golden and innocent child,
Speaks to the world.
He sees its pain,
He sees its joy,
He sees its teeth,
He sees its smile.
The world welcomed him with open arms,
As he welcomed light and darkness into his wake.
Roses of red,
Roses of white,
Roses of blue,
Roses of yellow,
Bend out of the fall of his feet,
As he danced, wild and free,
With twilight at his heels,
Fire in his eyes,
Peace in his heart,
And a smile of pure bliss on his lips.
Author's Notes: I always see little kids in a garden danceing with butterfly's
in my minds eye. It's sad to think that little kids so innocent and pure will have to one day change, like the Caterpillar and turn into a butterfly, still beautifully but not as innocent and pure.
