Frozen Sun

Sins of my father I fully bare,
Living in the darkness that surrounds me.
Like a drowning man gasping for air,
Images of light and hope escape me.
Here under a frozen sun,
The dead and the living intertwine as one.
I am one with the shadow
I am one with the dead
I am a mockery to the living
Still I run from death
Lingering in this world,
I follow a broken path.
Angels beckon me with hollow words,
Hiding behind their fleshy masks.
With jaded eyes I see the dead,
They follow me like wolves.
Beyond good or evil they wait for the chance,
To savagely rape my soul.
I am one with the shadow
I am one with the dead
I am a mockery to the living
I no longer fear death
Once in a while I grow tired of the chase,
I feel death's sweet disease,
an attraction so great.
With promises of light free from hate,
I fully bow down to this fate.
I am one with the shadow
I am one with the dead
I am a mockery to the living
I welcome death
A life full of hate
A life full of regrets
I embrace the darkness

I roam in the shadows
I walk with the dead
I mock the living
for I am dead
God is dead, he will not come
In my world, under the frozen sun.
