smash the jug and come to the river

my tale,
forgotten,
is weaved on your lips
and you speak it into me.
easing open my dry mouth
in a contentment of voice.
and i spread my sound
through a circle of 13 elements
all tied in perfect cycle,
hidden from the lidded eye.
but in fear
i am taken
into a further moon
to embalm my self
but in this same motivation
i am lost.
partially,
but importantly.
the moon knew many turns
preceding my awareness
and the path grew over,
in threads of veiled dreams
and my cries rang empty
over old steps;
a congealed voice
resting through thick skin of bark
and brier.
Author's Notes: written while i fight to reconnect with my roots, and the mother.
