Song of Lilith

The trail of her melody
lulled me
towards my words.
the still atmosphere
at their end
sways me into thought
and i see small plays
of my fears.
but in an easy stretch of voice
she whispers
desires
through my eyes.
the lure of exotic landscapes
and sparkling forms
was heavy in streams
and my whispers caught persuasion
plotting courses down my face.
I recognized the beauty
of this place
and i caught a river of sound
in my soul
which swirled torrent
in my bones.
unleashing the
thrash
of wild freedom
in my curves
I triumph over my shadow,
being raised so high.
My hands grasp in lifesong
and all my flung-out
bad spirits
pile under my dancing feet.
and i throw back
and cry out
"Woman!"
and all my sisters rise from the ground
and ride on swells of beats,
feet in time
to our story
that we echo.
and we dance,
untamed,
our birth
to find that which is lost,
that which is ours.
and we dance,
to burst into life.
and all our rhythms
are celestial movements;
jeweling our forms
with strength
of Artemis songs
and with surging bones
i cast out my binds
in a steady seduction
of harmonizing calls
into the wild strength
of woman.
