From the beginning, I said I loved you
From the start, I knew I loved you
I know I messed up in the past
But I tried to fix it with you fast
I made the wrong choice then
There are times I wonder
If I made the wrong decision again
We fight like mad; I can’t seem to please you
I worry about the future
I worry about the past
What would happen if we were on our own?
Would life be easier, would it be harder?
I try to pretend to be happy
I try to pretend to be having the time of my life
But every night as I lay awake
Listening to your breathing
Watching your handsome face
I can’t help but wonder what my life would be like
If I hadn’t settled for what I thought was my last chance at love.
I have fallen for another
We have been dreaming of each other
I haven’t felt this way in a long time
But still I stick by you as I vowed
I guess this is the worse part of the ‘for better or for worse’
If you were to ever find this
Your world would be shattered.
I keep my feelings locked away
Deep inside my heart, until it eats me
Until the day our vows are broken
I shall remain yours, even if it kills me.
