Around us,
In the play of light and shadow,
Our Ancestors flicker
In the siffling of the wind.
Their voices, long dead,
Whisper of times past
In half-forgotten words,
Half remembered prayers.
Honor time, they say,
For this day will never come again ---
Once gone,
Its memory will rush, spinning,
Into the pages of unwritten history
Of echoing thought.
This is a good day.
This is our day
To live.
