ILLUSION

ILLUSION
Object and reflection mirror each other
Height reflected on a floor of mirror sea
Depth reflected on a ceiling mirror sky
Balanced at the interface
The sky below
The sea above
Caught in stasis equilibrium
Where gravity impels you to the deep
And buoyancy will call you to the sky.
But conquer one
And become two
The high and the deep.
And when the ripples of your passing have receded
And bound around the globe you meet returning
The world that's still expanding
As it shrinks upon itself
You pass beyond the centre
To the surface
To become three
And finally
Infinity.
