Courtship
A red rose, lonely, living past it's time,
Stardust sprinkled from an autumn sky.
A wolf, returned to peaceful domesticity,
My soul era father lays to rest his pistol
Beside my nurse musician mother's camera,
Speaks in words of love and hopeful splendor,
While she, receptive as her camera's lens,
Listens and encourages.
Author's Notes: How does a gentleman, forced into battle, return from the insanity of the killing fields to a life of peace and uncertainty? The right woman can help with the healing, but at what cost to herself?
