The Time
by Lady Diavanii Loti
Age Group: Adult
Know you by day and by night,
summer's end is quite a sight.
To the dark shadows you shall go,
bringing the power that you grow.
In harvest you share with the next,
in order to depart to the world of the rest.
A sprinkle of rose,
a threshing of grass,
a pouring of drink,
what's more you ask?
Mages exploring and striving,
Nature's secrets you are contriving,
to experience your best,
to have and hold in your breast,
the knowledge of the universe,
shared with a test.
To be darkly occult,
find no fault,
in the shadowy dwellers,
of the deepest cellars.
Don't feel fright,
of things that go bump in the night.
Because you are yourself akin,
to their secret ken.
They know you are looking,
so they allow you a foot in.
Till you know the dark you thought,
is really the light you now see.
Author's Notes: This came with the season and describes lessons learned by witches wanting more.
