To Be Witch

by Regina

Age Group: Adult

To be witch: a sight seen, a sight unseen. Splendor adorned, wake and wakeful born.

One is found, noticed by others, drawn in as if in a moment of longing on both sides, for connection. They know you would know and you know you would know. Words or no, it happens and something has begun.

One is tapped on the shoulder and led to a private location and asked to disrobe to continue. Candles are set to flame and the shadows and light play upon the walls or outer grasses. A breeze is felt to the very bones, announcing the start of something great. The fingers of the new one to be, in two, touch upon the edges of each flame, top, bottom left, top right, top left, bottom right and top again. 3 times this is done. As the flame comes to grow, a future becomes to know.

Incense of the 3 is lit, draped and drawn as to fit, the gentle curves of each in place, ethers drawn into the face. Auras touched upon, veils tapped upon, consecrations draped upon.

Now, the candles are placed in a circle and the new one asked to lay down within in blindfold's special trust. The red, blue and white, and then all are lit and massage is done with oil or no as is fit, charge is set. Relaxing into the arms of the unknown, nature watches and waits in tone.

Markings granted, oaths enchanted, kisses enacted. Welcoming, woven string, bracelet and talisman found, generally all is round. Elements shared and elements sought, bringing friendship and nature's protection more than aught.

Then one day in walking a wand be stumbled upon in talking. You pick it up and it will suffice, to show you further welcome into the life, of a witch of our gift's beginning. The future is happening, one moment to the next, spinning.

To drink from a cup is a special oath, shared by ones who will be more than most. Wine to left and bread to right, next is consort presented to all's delight, for there are two halves to the whole in sight.
