Two Lovers

Two lovers on
a whim one night
two halves joined
for their delight
but beyond the
dark oak tree
lay there predators
So restlessly
their eyes watched
with jealous need
As there consorts
lay exhaustedly
Liquid fire in
their eyes
burning bright with
no disguise
As their rage
grows and grows
nothing can stop as
it starts to flow
without knowing
who was there
the lovers took
each others share
As the predators
crept to the spot
the lovers then
realized that they were caught
words were shared
between the pairs
for they were hurt
and the lovers didn't care
As the last words were
spoken in rhyme
nothing could stop
the predators this time
With howls of rage
and balls of fists
they knew their consorts
would not be missed
leaving nothing
at all behind
except the lovers
all but entwined

Author's Notes: I wrote this poem when my friends found out that their spouses were cheating on them together. when I wrote the poem, I was basically expressing their emotions and how they felt. there was no death only two, very messy divorces. lol
