Poem - The Book

THE BOOK
On my birth I received a gift
A wondrous white bound book
The story as I read it now
Had a beginning, but no end
The plot was simple not complex
The words were easy for the eye
It spoke of the Lady’s loving gifts
Of life’s choices just for me
I’ve read the book, sought solace there
And oft times with friends did share
The twisting plot the fun and games
Of my sadness, loves, despair
This book was given in Love and Trust
By my Lady of the Night
Each page is touched by rainbows
Each page is touched with love
As I grow old the book seems large
Heavy with the Weaver’s words
Of lessons learned upon this plane
Each one a treasured pearl
Each page and chapter by my hand
In Dragon’s blood the writings clear
What I do and who I am
This living treasure, mine to share
