Poem - The Choice

THE CHOICE©
The moon shone bright upon the hills
Snow covered land all cold and still
I came wandering down the path
One final choice to make at last
The path forked there, left and right
One led to darkness, one led to light
One full of doubt and fear
The other made of joy and cheer
One full of friendships old and new
Bordered there by love’s sweet dew
The other fraught with chill and dread
Filled with lonely years ahead
Upon that fork the Lady stood
Arms outstretched in love and trust
Her face aglow with warmth and truth
Singing softly in the dusk
What lesson here was I to learn?
What choice to make? Which way to turn?
Then Her light came pouring in
It washed away the doubt within
For the test was not to turn
But to walk within Her open arms
For life is all the things I wrote
Filled with love, joy, fear and doubt
The Magick lies not in the forks
Of these paths we tread in life
But lies there within Her love and grace
Now, is there a choice you haven’t made?
