Poem - Nine Runes

Nine Runes©
Nine runes I carve upon these stones
Nine runes for all to see
Nine runes connected by the power
Through a Circle, Them to Me
Nine stones too stand for all time
Though Eternity beckons all
Nine stones wrapped within the Crafte
To guard you each from harm
First rune is for the Spirit
For you that seek to share
Life that knows no boundaries
All connected, all souls aware
The second rune is Fire
Its hot flame girds us well
It cleanses souls of darkness
And within each soul will dwell
The third rune is of Water
So sacred to each life
It quenches thirst for knowledge
And brings the Rede alight
The fourth rune is of the Earth
Our wondrous place of birth
That blossoms fourth each Beltane
In the rainbow of all Life
The fifth rune is Air’s sweet breath
That caresses your loving soul
That lightens each long Journey’s day
As our endless lives unfold
The sixth, the Warrior’s rune
To gird against the Dark
To work your will and word
Within bright Magick’s spark
The seventh rune is the Rose
The joining of our souls
From the thorn to its sweet red bloom
Our circle will unfold
The eighth bright rune is one of Trust
A beacon in the night
The gentle gift that’s offered
The guide to love and light
The ninth rune is one of Love
Its emblazoned on my heart
My soul is yours all yours are mine
Never more to part
So there they stand nine stones so true
Nine runes bathed in Magick’s light
My gift within life's darkness
To guide you through your night
