Poem - A Warrior's Plea

A Warrior’s Plea
Sing not hero’s songs for we
That fight the Dark for Goddess sake
But kneel and pray for peace for us
Who Journey young to Her Summerland
Forget the war torn souls and minds
We gladly gave them, our gift to time
Remember well the battles fought
And cherish well the peace we brought
Remember our youth and laughing ways
The love we shared and times we cried
This price of blood and life we paid
For you that still will Journey long
With each circle round you share
Remember us in quiet song
For such you see is fate for us
No love, no kiss, no gentle touch
But let not our memories fade
Just smile gently at our names
Place a rose within in Her sight
On your altar warm and bright
And may by chance we hear your call
We will come to ward you till the dawn
