Poem - Old Oaks and Lilacs

Old Oaks and Lilacs©
Down by the river just round its bend
Blessed by moon’s silver light
Lies a place that languishes in splendor
For all souls that venture to seek
Wrapped by green sward’s splendor
Trapped within time’s living grace
Lies and old oaken circle
Perfumed by lilacs sweet blooms
These blooms are of many colors
Reflecting life’s patterns there
Of man, woman and child
Of each creature we each hold so dear
Of the wolf, hawk and the eagle
The bear, fox and the snake
Of cat, crow and the raven
The unicorn, owl and drake
The circle reflects all our Magick
This power given in grace
By our dear Lord and Lady
As part of the great spiral of life
So venture within Their circle
Leave all doubts and cares without
Step forth within midnight’s dark shadows
Share your love with those who are there
For we treasure all life’s beginnings
We’ll walk with you through Journey’s night
For we are all your Brothers and Sisters
For each comes from Their Fountain of Life
